Getting started with your Altina PND Print E-mail

Thanks for buying our Altina A8010. Here is a quick start guide for you.

A. Check List

Your Altina A8010 package should contain the following:

  1. Altina A8010 PND
  2. USB cable
  3. Car charger
  4. Suction mount and device holder
  5. Manual CD

B. Installation

Installation Guide

Steps:

  1. Connect the suction mount to the device holder. Place the connector into the connector slot and push it up to tighten the connection
  2. Place the suction cup end firmly against your car window then push the lever upwards to tighten the suction cup
  3. Place your Altina PND onto the holder. Ensure the top and bottom slots are fitted firmly 
  4. Adjust the swivel until you are satisfied with view. Then turn the cap clockwise to tighten the swivel position

C. Starting Igo8 navigation software

  1. Your Altina A8010 comes fully charged. You can turn it on straight away without needing the charge it.
  2. The on/off switch is at the back of your Altina.
  3. Press OK after reading and understanding the warning message
  4. Press the Navigation icon to launch Igo8
  5. After about 10 seconds, you will be in Igo8's navigation menu

 

D. Getting your initial GPS location

  1. The default GPS location is at our test facility in Taiwan. You need to get your initial GPS location in order for Igo to bring you to your current location in Malaysia and display the appropriate map for you.
  2. It will take some time to get your initial GPS location. Placing your Altina in an area with unobstructed view of the whole horizon is recommended. It will take about 10 to 20 minutes to get your initial GPS location.
  3. Tap the Map button. Once your GPS pointer is at your location, you can start navigating to any destination.
